Defendants in civil cases don’t have the right to an attorney, and there’s a much lower burden of proof for them to lose their citizenship.
Experts say this will create a second class of U.S. citizens. Naturalized citizens are supposed to enjoy all the same benefits as birthright citizens. Now, they face a much steeper punishment for the same crimes.
Just like we’ve seen in Trump’s mass deportation agenda, he’s depriving immigrants of due process to fulfill his racist campaign promises.
And we can’t count on the courts to stop him, because he’s stacked the bench with hundreds of MAGA judges and three hand-picked Supreme Court justices.
It’s up to us to fight back. We need to show our elected officials that the people expect them to hold Trump accountable when he breaks the law.
