2025 Texas Best Awards – Nominations Now Open!
Nominations are now being accepted for the 2025 Texas Best Awards! Certified Texas Crime Stoppers organizations are encouraged to take part in this year’s competition, which recognizes outstanding efforts, innovation, and dedication in the mission to solve and prevent crime across Texas.
To enter, submit one entry form per category, and be sure to clearly label each supporting document with your program name and award category.
Deadline: All entries must be received by Friday, August 29, 2025.

Basic Crime Stoppers Course Held in Waxahachie
Texas Crime Stoppers held a successful Basic Crime Stoppers Course on June 23–24, 2025, in Waxahachie, Texas, hosted by Crime Stoppers of Ellis County. The two-day training brought together coordinators, board members, and local partners for a productive training session.
Participants completed 16 hours of training, meeting the requirement for organizational certification and earning TCOLE and CPE credit. The course covered a wide range of essential topics, including tip management, board responsibilities, campus programs, annual reporting, certification standards, fundraising, and marketing.
Thank you to Crime Stoppers of Ellis County for your warm hospitality and for helping make this training a smooth and valuable experience for all involved.
If you received a Crime Stoppers Assistance Fund grant and want to learn more about managing it through eGrants, consider attending one of our one-day, in-person eGrants training sessions hosted by the Public Safety Office.
These training sessions are held across Texas and are completely free. They provide valuable guidance on navigating the eGrants system, ensuring compliance, and making the most of your funding.

The Texas Crime Stoppers Ambassador Program is a student leadership initiative designed for youth engaged in their local Crime Stoppers community.
Each ambassador is assigned a month to contribute an article for the Texas Crime Stoppers newsletter. Possible topics include campus program success stories, interviews with their Student Resource Officer or a board member, community involvement, as well as editorials on leadership, mentoring, or student motivation.
