We have a lot to celebrate today.
FATHER'S DAY
|
Happy Father’s Day, Dad!!! Thank you for always supporting me in my journey, as a kid, a teenager, a serviceman, a small business owner and now a candidate for office.
And to all you other fathers out there, thank you for everything you do for your families and kids year-round.

GAY PRIDE & GAY RIGHTS
|
This week the LGBTQ community celebrated a historic and long overdue victory: the Supreme Court ruled people can not be fired based on their sexual orientation or gender identity. It seems obvious, right? As I’ve said before, treat people fairly, it shouldn’t be hard.
This ruling has happened during Pride month, a time to celebrate the LGBTQ community. This year, while there is still celebrating, it’s different. There are fewer parades but activists are still marching in the streets, pushing for progress. We have come a long way in our journey toward true equality and it is important to celebrate the successes the Supreme Court brought this week.

JUNETEENTH WEEKEND
|
Its Juneteenth weekend, marking the day in 1865 when the last slaves in the Confederacy learned they were free, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. It is time for honoring Black lives. It is a time to celebrate. It is a time for us to come together. Support our Black community and local Black-owned businesses and restaurants.

DREAMERS ARE HOME
|
The US Supreme Court ruled on Thursday June 18th that the Trump administration cannot shut down the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, which has allowed nearly 800,000 young people to remain in the U.S. to work and pursue their education. Our country is diverse and we are so much stronger with "Dreamers" calling it home.
