My family and I love going to Silver Lake every 4th of July. We feel like we are among friends:

  • USA flags proudly flown on trucks, Jeeps, and dune buggies
  • Music blaring paying tribute to America
  • The ubiquitous fireworks ablaze as everyone celebrates in some way

While there is still much work to do to make us better, I firmly believe the majority of our nation loves America.

Do you agree?

When all the celebrations are done, will we do our part throughout the year, as John Adams warns to, “guard liberty well, for once lost, it is lost forever”.

A few men and women paid a significant price in 1776 (and thousands in the years since) so that we could have this freedom.

While we are celebrating this weekend, please join me in praying that God will help us all to discover our part to play in the land of the free, for the home of the brave.

Happy 4th of July, Michigan!

Watch The Heroes' Stories...

Most of us have no comprehension of what our Founding Fathers went through to create this Republic called America.

Those who signed the Declaration of Independence knew they were putting their LIVES on the line, along with their homes, families and their fortunes.

Prager U and the White House have released some STUNNING videos that make the Founding Fathers come to life. They were farmers, bankers, lawyers, and merchants. They were young, middle aged, and seniors.

We will continue to feature them throughout the summer but below are a couple of the lesser known patriots (you can find them all here). Join us in watching history come to life.

MEET FOUNDING FATHER RICHARD STOCKTON: He was a lawyer, judge and reluctant revolutionary – at first! Listen to his story and hear the sacrifice he made.

MEET FOUNDING FATHER FRANCIS LEWIS: “Freedom demands much of us, but what it gives in return…is everything.” Francis Lewis said this, even as he watched his wife die in his arms. Hear his story:

Training You in Kalamazoo...

Liberty starts at home, in your community whether a township, city or county. YOU can have an extraordinary impact if you serve on any of these boards.

Once elected you have the authority to determine the direction of your locality.

THANK YOU to all those who attended our recent GO LOCAL training event in Kalamazoo!

Your feedback let us know that you found it well worthwhile and our hope is that ALL may consider running for local offices/boards in the coming year – it is vital to keeping the freedom we enjoy.

Dynamic presentations by inspiring and experienced speakers.

And a chance to connect with old and new friends a like.

We will soon be announcing more events like gatherings for Clergy, campaign schools and more.

President John Adams said this about Independence Day

“[Independence Day] will be the most memorable Epocha, in the History of America.

I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated, by succeeding Generations, as the great anniversary Festival.

"It ought to be commemorated, as the Day of Deliverance by solemn Acts of Devotion to God Almighty.

"It ought to be solemnized with Pomp and Parade, with Shews, Games, Sports, Guns, Bells, Bonfires and Illuminations from one End of this Continent to the other from this Time forward forever more. You will think me transported with Enthusiasm but I am not.

I am well aware of the Toil and Blood and Treasure, that it will cost Us to maintain this Declaration, and support and defend these States. Yet through all the Gloom I can see the Rays of ravishing Light and Glory.

I can see that the End is more than worth all the Means. And that Posterity will tryumph in that Days Transaction, even altho We should rue it, which I trust in God We shall not.”
