[[link removed]]John,
I haven’t even made an announcement or a formal decision about whether or not I’m going to make another run for U.S. Senate here in Nebraska, but national Republicans are already spending millions of dollars to try to protect billionaire Republican Pete Ricketts.
When I ran against Republican Deb Fischer last year, we shocked everyone when we got 47% of the vote. It was one of the closest Senate races in the entire country.
Now, as I’m inching closer to making a decision with my family about whether or not to run against literal billionaire Republican Pete Ricketts, the Mitch McConnell-linked group One Nation is already running millions of dollars in ads here in Nebraska.
The first poll shows that Ricketts and I would come out of the gate in a virtual tie – 46% to 45% – so no wonder national Republicans are worried. But I am only going to put my family through another grueling campaign if we are going to have the support of people like you to fight back against the smears.
If I see there’s enough financial support for me to take on billionaire Republican Pete Ricketts and win, I’ll do it. But I need to see now that you’ll have my back.
Please, will you make a monthly donation right now to my future campaign for U.S. Senate against billionaire Republican Pete Ricketts here in Nebraska? If I ultimately decide not to run for some reason, we’ll refund your donation. [[link removed]]

These ads are real, and they’re just the beginning. I’m ready, but I’m only going to run if I have your support.
Thank you,
