Here's something to ponder.  When the Founding Fathers conceived of a new country that would promote freedom and justice, they envisioned leadership that would pursue those things.  No tyrants need apply.   But Jefferson, Madison, Franklin, and the boys also understood human nature and how awful it can become.  So, they built in controls over presidents and members of Congress.
