Dear John,

This Tuesday—two days from now—Kentucky and New York have primary elections. Tonight, we're gathering on an emergency call with special guests including Bernie Sanders to make a game plan for these final, crucial days of Booker’s and Bowman’s campaigns. Join us at 8pm EDT / 5pm PDT to hear Bernie, Charles, Jamaal, and Sunrise organizers talk about the best tactics for building support leading up to Tuesday.

I live in Louisville, Kentucky, so this race is of particular importance to me. Charles is a State Representative from my town and is fighting to win a grassroots campaign against the establishment pick, Amy McGrath.

I support Charles because he sees what I see: Kentucky is not the joke we’ve been made out to be. We are the victims of a political system that consistently overlooks us. A political system run by people like Mitch who bleed us dry and somehow sleep easy at night while people like Breonna Taylor and David McAtee—who he supposedly “represents”—are killed in their sleep or at work by police.

I’ve been volunteering for Booker’s campaign for a little over a month now, and the momentum we’ve built together over the last few weeks is turning the tide. We have a real chance to win this race. The people of Kentucky are fed up with “politics as usual” and want our representatives to take action and side with us.

Most Kentuckians I’ve had the opportunity to speak with personally about Charles come around to supporting him, but many still haven’t heard about him. That’s why we need to reach more voters. While Charles is hugely popular with those who know of him, McGrath has more name recognition and millions to drop on TV ads.

Booker shows up for us. Can you show up for him by joining our emergency call tonight with Bernie Sanders, where we’ll discuss how to make the most impact in these final, crucial days before the election?

One of the major tactics we’ll discuss is phonebanking. Thousands in Kentucky and around the country have helped make a million calls to voters. We’ve seen so many people come back to do multiple shifts because training is quick, calling is easy, and connecting with people person-to-person has amazing results. We've spoken to coal miners with black lung disease who were happy to know people like Booker wanted to fight for a Green New Deal that takes care of people like them and farmers who’ve rallied their entire households to vote for him because of his dedication to their communities.

Phonebanking is the most effective thing we can do right now to make a difference in this Tuesday’s numbers. If you’re unable to join the call but want to help the final push, click here to sign up for a phone bank. There are many shifts to choose from, as we’ll be running phone banks throughout the day on Monday and Tuesday. We’ll give you everything you need to get started and you'll have the support of experienced phone bankers who will walk you through the whole process.

See you tonight,

Trey, Sunrise Kentucky
