Congressional officials must now give 72 hours' notice before visiting an ICE detention facility.
Let us be clear — this is a massive rollback of basic government transparency.
For years, Democrats in Congress have relied on unannounced visits to expose human rights abuses, medical neglect, and abusive conditions inside detention centers.
Now, DHS is handing ICE a blank check to cover up what’s really going on.
