From the desk of Dr. Scott Jensen:

Dear Fellow Minnesotans,

Minnesota is in trouble. So many folks are angry and fed up. The shining light of the North Star state has dimmed.  Kids are vulnerable, neighborhoods are unsafe, government fraud is out of control, and “Minnesota Nice” feels like a distant memory.  Times like these force us to ask hard questions: What kind of leadership does Minnesota need right now? What kind of future are we building? Are we still a state where public service is honored, differences are debated respectfully, and feeling safe is the norm, not the exception?

Everyday my wife, Mary, and I talk and pray about the sickness in our politics - differences in viewpoints quickly degenerate into fierce divisions, those in power make excuses, and public servants focus more on scoring political points than finding solutions.

And don’t even get me started about the state of journalism in Minnesota!

I’m a doctor, not a career politician. I’ve spent my life caring for people. And right now, Minnesota reminds me of a patient in crisis—hurting, fractured, and in need of urgent help. We need leaders who will bring healing and courage, not more ideological warfare.

I believe in law and order. I believe in protecting our children, backing our police, and restoring trust in government. I believe we must reject extremism—on all sides—and return to the Minnesota values of faith, family, decency, and hard work.

Minnesota’s problems aren’t going to go away with a ‘politics as usual’ approach.  We need to seriously and openly address the critical question: How do all of us help restore and protect the soul of our state?

In my heart of hearts, I believe Minnesota can do better…must do better.  I am strongly considering running to be the next governor of Minnesota, but first, I want to know what you think – What are the issues that matter most to you?  What frustrates you the most about our current political climate?  What do you celebrate about Minnesota? How do we best honor the heritage of the North Star state, and how do we navigate our shared journey forward?

With hope and resolve, I am asking you to help shape my own path forward.
