Email from Wisconsin Institute for Law & Liberty Good evening, WILL is proud to announce that we are a finalist in three categories for this year’s State Policy Network Awards – including the Bob Williams Award for Most Influential Research and two awards for Communications Excellence. We are deeply honored to be considered amongst our peers. Learn more about our nominations below. MOST INFLUENTIAL RESEARCH AWARD WILL crunched over a decade of school and municipal finance data to show the real cost of repealing Wisconsin’s landmark Act 10. With threats to the law looming, we turned abstract policy into something personal—down to a $624-per-homeowner property tax hike. The interactive calculator we built is helping taxpayers, school boards, and lawmakers grasp the stakes in real time. 🧮 Explore the Calculator EXCELLENCE IN STORYTELLING AWARD WILL told the story of Colbey Decker, a mom whose dyslexic son was denied help because he wasn’t in a “priority racial group.” Our short film exposed Green Bay’s race-based special ed policies, went viral with 95K+ views garnering national media attention, and led to a federal civil rights investigation. More than just a media win, it put a human face on policy and helped drive accountability. 🎥 Watch the story here INNOVATION IN MARKETING AWARD To support local school governance, we executed a targeted campaign connecting with elected school board members across all 420 Wisconsin districts. The campaign successfully boosted attendance to over 150 people at our School Board Summit, equipping local leaders with policy resources, legal guidance, and professional development to restore academic rigor. 🎥 Watch the Summit Recap Video With gratitude, The WILL Team Read more at www.will-law.org.
