Email from American Values Coalition     Hello John, I'm thrilled to share some exciting updates from the American Values Coalition (AVC) that highlight our ongoing efforts and the impact we're making together. Earlier this year, we started the first AVC podcast. We’re excited about this new format, and new outlet to expand our message and reach. If you have a particular podcast app you like to use, you can find us using this link. Give us a like and subscribe and you’ll expand our reach to even more listeners. We’re so excited about this new venture, we’ve already added a second podcast for our pastor network, J29 Coalition, which you can find for your app here. Speaking of J29 Coalition, our next J29 Cohort for pastors will be this Fall. The journey begins with an eye-opening trip to the U.S.-Mexico border, hosted by Border Perspectives, where participants will see first hand the conditions at the border and speak to ministry leaders and government officials in both the U.S. and Mexico. That will be followed by eight virtual sessions with experts on political discipleship. The experience will end with an in-person retreat where participants can process what they’ve learned and strategize on how to best put their learnings into action in their own contexts. Our work was also featured in a 6-part podcast series about evangelicals fighting political extremism, “When the Wolves Came,” produced by sociologist Ruth Braunstein. As the podcast highlights, we’re part of a larger and growing coalition of people and organizations working to save our democracy from the political extremists. It does a great job of showing what motivates us, and why our work is so important. I hope you’ll give it a listen. We’ve also gained the attention of the very people we’ve been warning about. Over the past couple of weeks, we've been criticized by a number of MAGA leaders. Most of these criticisms are misrepresentations or outright falsehoods, but given who these people are, we must be doing something right to gain their repudiation. Watch my video response here.
