The U.S. Supreme Court recently wrapped up its 2024-2025 term, which included key rulings that delivered tremendous wins for the U.S. Constitution, the American people, and the future of our country.
Here are several significant SCOTUS victories:
Ending Judicial Activism
In a 6-3 ruling, the Supreme Court struck down the excessive use of nationwide injunctions, correctly noting such injunctions by district judges exceed their authority granted by Congress. This is a major win in our fight against activist judges! As you know, many partisan judges have weaponized and abused their power in an attempt to obstruct President Trump’s legitimate Article II authority. In fact, 40 nationwide injunctions have been filed against President Trump since he returned to office — 35 of which came from left-wing jurisdictions in California, D.C., Maryland, Washington, and Massachusetts. If judges want to engage in political activism, they should resign and run for public office. Now, thanks to the Supreme Court’s ruling, these activist judges can no longer universally block the Trump Administration’s actions to rescue our country.
Protecting the Sanctity of Life
Last week, the Supreme Court also ruled that states have the power to block Medicaid funding for Planned Parenthood clinics. Back in February, I signed on to an amicus brief in support of South Carolina’s determination that Planned Parenthood does not qualify to receive Medicaid funding. Bottom line, your hard-earned tax dollars should never be forced to fund the evils of abortion. The Supreme Court’s ruling in Medina v. Planned Parenthood South Atlantic marks yet another win in our fight to protect the sanctity of life.
Defending Religious Liberty
Additionally, in the case of Mahmoud v. Taylor, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of Maryland parents who fought to withdraw their children from lessons involving LGBTQ books. In March, I signed on to an amicus brief in support of parents' religious freedoms and their right to direct their children’s education. The Supreme Court’s 6-3 ruling upholds that parents are entitled to opt their children out of school lessons that violate their family’s deeply held religious beliefs, delivering a decisive blow to woke school boards and teachers throughout the country.
Safeguarding ChildrenÂ
The Supreme Court also recently ruled in favor of a Tennessee law banning transgender surgeries, puberty blockers, and cross-sex hormones for minors. This decision delivers a massive win that protects children from these harmful, sick practices. Notably, more than 20 states across the country — including Georgia — have passed similar laws. The Supreme Court’s ruling upholds these commonsense laws, safeguarding children from woke, life-altering procedures and medications.
Folks, I applaud the Supreme Court for issuing these incredible opinions, and I thank President Trump for making these major judicial accomplishments possible. By nominating three constitutionalists to the bench during his first term, Trump’s historic impact on the Supreme Court cannot be overstated. Over the past few years, pivotal decisions from the Supreme Court, such as the victorious Dobbs decision, prove President Trump’s selection of Justices Gorsuch, Kavanaugh, and Coney Barrett will significantly improve our nation for generations to come.
