Though the moratorium was scrapped, the bill itself narrowly passed the Senate — also today — with Vance’s tiebreaker vote. If passed, it still threatens to expand funding for biometric surveillance, lining the pockets of Big Tech and AI corporations while further integrating this tech into local police departments and immigration operations.
