  • Unions profiting from forgery?
    Numerous forgery lawsuits have been filed against local chapters of the SEIU (Service Employees International Union) in California, Oregon, and Washington. They've been accused of using forged signatures on union membership cards to collect union dues from nonmembers. One federal judge even dismissed such a lawsuit in California, reaffirming the union's power to extract money from unwilling workers. CRC's Jonathan Harsh reports here.
  • What is Black Lives Matter's legal structure?
    The Black Lives Matter movement is confusing in its structure, but CRC's Robert Stilson digs deep to identify the distinct legal entities at work within the decentralized protest movement. Learn more here.
  • Who else uses Black Lives Matter's fundraising machine?
    Activist groups are capitalizing on the recent Black Lives Matter protests and far-left riots to raise millions of dollars from sympathetic donors. Much of that money passes through ActBlue, which is the Left's favorite fundraising service.   • Which will get you fired faster:  flubbing a newspaper headline or committing police brutality?
    It took the New York Police Department about five years to fire the police officer who killed Eric Garner in 2014 using a prohibited chokehold, but James Bennett lost his job as the New York Times op-ed page editor within a week. Not coincidently, unions are the common threat in both stories: delaying punishment in one and assisting the outrage mob in the other. CRC's Michael Watson connects the dots here.
