Thank you for your part in helping us finish our second FEC deadline strong. I am always grateful for every donation, and all expressions of support we receive.

And right now, John, we need to stand together more than ever.

Senate Republicans have passed Trump’s horrible spending bill, and it’s coming back to the House.

This Republican spending bill is the broadest attempt yet at dismantling the government. It robs hard working Americans of healthcare and nutrition assistance just so billionaires can get even richer.

Here are just a few of the stats:

It knocks at least 11.8 million people off of health care

It takes food assistance away from more than 7 million people

And it adds $3.3 trillion to our national deficit

And John, the list of bad outcomes goes on and on, from medical care to education to Head Start programs which give low-income kids a chance to be in a quality preschool while their parents are at work.

This isn’t an abstract issue about whether we like or don’t like the government. These are actual services that people in our district receive. This spending bill is a scam that will blow up the deficit and punish hardworking families while padding the pockets of Trump’s cronies and billionaires.

You can count on me to be a solid, “no” when this comes back to the House. And John, I’d appreciate having you stand behind me while I do – so Trump and Congressional Republicans can see just how many people are against this.
