Urgent: Protect the Rights of Refugees and Other Immigrants! 

Today, the U.S. Senate passed a sweeping reconciliation bill that includes the most expansive immigration enforcement funding package in modern American history. The legislation would dramatically increase federal spending on detention, deportation, border barriers, and other immigration-related measures while slashing assistance for lawfully present immigrants, refugees, and asylees.

Now, the "One Big Beautiful Bill" will head back to the House of Representatives, which has been tasked with passing and sending it to President Trump's desk by July 4th. We need as many people as possible to stand up for their newest neighbors and tell their Representatives to vote NO on this damaging and dangerous legislation.

Harmful changes include:

• the end of SNAP, Medicare, and Medicaid eligibility for refugees and other lawful immigrant populations;
• unprecedented new fees on humanitarian immigration applications; 
• major spending increases for detention, deportation, immigration enforcement, and more.

The House could begin voting on the bill as early as tomorrow (7/2), so our window of opportunity is narrow—now is the time to make your voice heard!
