   John,
I just wrapped up a town hall in a deep red district, and let me tell you,
the people want answers from their elected leaders.
A Democrat hasn’t represented the district I visited in over 30 years. But
that didn’t stop people from all across the district from joining our town
   hall anyway:
                                    [ [link removed] ][IMG]
The fight to take on big corporations and billionaires is one that will
take all of us working together, especially as Republicans in Congress jam
through a big bad betrayal budget that strips health care from millions.
This is exactly the kind of work we need to be taking on right now.
Republicans are passing a horrendous bill that will be yet another massive
transfer of wealth from the bottom 99% to the top 1%. Poor and working
people are being failed by the Republican majority in DC.
So we have to be willing to go anywhere and speak to anyone about our
   vision for a better future.
The reality is that the challenges facing poor and working people in
traditionally “red” areas aren’t all that different from those in blue
areas. But for far too long, too many folks have written off certain
districts as too red or too blue, and not worth anyone’s time.
I think that’s nonsense. Bold, populist policies like Medicare For All and
a livable minimum wage benefit everyone, everywhere. But if we won’t even
show up in certain districts, how can we expect them to support us on
   Election Day?
Make no mistake: one town hall won’t solve all of our problems. We have to
keep showing up, day in and day out, if we want to regain the trust needed
to build enduring Democratic majorities and enact our progressive vision
   for the future.
We can’t do it without you,
John. [ [link removed] ]If you believe in our
progressive movement, will you pitch in $3 or any amount
today to support the work I’m doing both inside and outside of Congress?
