Happy Summer from the MDOT Office of Aeronautics! Below are important updates and deadlines for Michigan airports and aviators.

*Aero Listen and Learn Invite: *

The next MDOT Aeronautics Listen and Learn session is scheduled for *Wednesday, July 16 from 1:30-3:30 at Paul C Miller Airport in Sparta.* This is an opportunity for airport managers to come in person to discuss local airport issues including licensing, air space and zoning, and inspections. Bring your questions and take advantage of this opportunity to speak one on one with Aeronautics staff on issues specifically affecting your airport. *EGLE RFP for PFAS Remediation: *

The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) has published a Request For Proposals (RFP) regarding PFAS remediation at airports. Completed applications must be received by EGLE no later than *Wednesday, July 30, 2025.* See attached RFP for details.

*MDOT Aero Contract Pilot RFP: *

MDOT Aeronautics is seeking proposals for a Contract Pilot/Trainer. Submissions should be sent to Director Bryan Budds at [email protected] no later than *Friday, August 1, 2025*. See attached RFP for details.

*Open Positions at Aeronautics: *
