Here’s what Republicans don’t want you to know about their Big, Ugly Bill.

Almost 17 million people stand to lose health care coverage because of the historically massive Medicaid cuts — over half a million in Illinois alone.

Millions of kids will go hungry due to cuts to food assistance programs, at a time when families are struggling to put food on the table already.

Americans will lose thousands of clean energy jobs, and energy costs will rise.

That’s just the start of the damage that will be done to working families, seniors, veterans, and children — all to give a tax handout to Republicans’ billionaire donors.

I’ll be voting no, and urging my colleagues in the House to do the same. With an extremely slim majority, we only need to pick off a few Republicans to defeat this awful plan.
