Friend --

Just One more Senator showing courage – that’s all that was needed to stop this reckless budget.  

Let that sink in.

This moment called for courage. And too many in positions of power failed to rise to it.

At Country First, we believe that leaders who are too afraid to show courage have no business holding public office. Period.

Just as important, the opposition party must show courage.  Most importantly they must have a message—not just on what’s broken, but on what we can build. We must be clear about the stakes and even clearer about the solutions:

• What are we offering to blue collar workers and working families being crushed by rising costs and shrinking opportunities?
• What are we offering to farmers harmed by reckless trade decisions?
• What are we offering to the next generation to ensure they inherit a country stronger than the one we inherited?

These are the questions that matter. These are the people who need champions. And this is the work I’m committed to and Country First is committed to. This work will strengthen democracy from those that try to weaken it.

We face serious issues - and we need serious leaders.
