Prince William County has completed a major broadband expansion project — bringing high-speed fiber-optic internet to 474 previously unserved or underserved areas five months ahead of schedule and under budget. This new service allows customers to book time with county experts for commercial project support—like plan reviews, early project assistance and permit guidance — at a time that works best for them. It’s a smarter, more convenient way to get the help you need to move your project forward.

Help is Here to Beat the Heat: Apply Now for Cooling Assistance
Summer heat is here—and so is help for those who need it most. Prince William County is connecting eligible residents with cooling assistance for electric bills, AC repairs and more through the Virginia Energy Assistance Program. Applications are open now through Aug. 15, 2025.

Taking Another Step in Modernizing Services & Improving Resident Experience
Starting in July, the Prince William County Department of Public Safety Communications is launching PowerEngage, a new platform that allows residents to share feedback following certain 911 or non-emergency calls. Responses will help recognize exceptional service, strengthen training and improve the overall caller experience.
