Dear Health Advocates,

The Senate, with the tie-breaking vote from JD Vance, just passed the largest cuts to Medicaid EVER in the budget reconciliation bill.

Over the weekend, the Senate passed a motion to proceed to debate and Republicans have been working behind closed doors to secure the 50 member votes they need to pass this bill back to the House. The Senate's vote-a-rama was historic, with 45 consecutive votes. Now that it has passed, we expect House Republicans to move quickly to vote on the Senate's updates to the bill on Wednesday or Thursday.

Community Catalyst, Families USA, NHeLP, and the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities invite you to a July Medicaid Defense Updates and Strategy Call TODAY, Tuesday, July 1 from 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM ET.
