Hi John,
This release finishes up our 2024/25 roadmap! We just finalized our next roadmap and I am so excited for what is to come (hello events!).
It’s fitting that our final release is packed with powerful tools for power email users. One I want to highlight in particular is the new predictive opens filter (details below). This machine learning feature helps you identify which recipients are most likely to open your emails on a given day, especially valuable for deliverability repair and reactivation efforts.
Big thanks to the Action Network engineering and design teams who brought it to life, and to the folks who helped shape it through ideation and testing: Josh Nelson at Juggernaut Project, the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee, Social Security Works, and the Harris Campaign.
Cooperative development is our north star, and this feature is a great example.
New in beta: Predictive Open Scores for Smarter Targeting
You can now use predictive open scores to help determine which activists are most likely to open your email — available during targeting if you’ve opted into our data co-op. Scores range from 0–100 (higher = more likely to open) and update daily. They’re powered by millions of data points from your group and other data co-op members.
You can use these scores to include or exclude activists above a score threshold you set. This is especially useful for:
- Deliverability repair — for example, instead of narrowing your list to just the most recently active users, you can include anyone with a score of 70 or above to keep more volume and protect your sender reputation.
- Safely reactivating inactive audiences by excluding the lowest scorers while still reaching folks with a decent chance of engaging.
It can be hard to know what score to choose — we built out a score distribution tool on the email preview page to help! You get to control the score, size, and proportion to find the perfect number (screenshot below).
If you’re not yet in the data co-op, you can opt in from your Group Manage Page → Settings tab, or directly while targeting an email. All data is fully anonymized — no personal data is ever shared between co-op members.

New in beta: Automated A/B Testing
You can now fully automate your A/B tests — no need to come back and send the winning version manually. Just set it up once, and we’ll handle the rest.
When previewing your email or mobile message, you can schedule an automated test by choosing:
- A key stat to judge performance (like open rate or click rate)
- How long to wait before sending a winner
Once your message goes out, we’ll automatically wait the time you chose, then send the winning version to the rest of your targeted audience — removing your random limit and maximizing impact.
Example: Say you're running a subject line test and want to optimize for open rate. You can tell the system to wait 2 hours, pick the version with the highest open rate, and automatically send that version to the rest of your list — no manual follow-up required.
You can also add an optional circuit breaker — a safeguard that prevents a winner from being sent if something looks off. For instance, you might block the winning subject line from going out if its spam complaint rate is too high.
You can set up defaults in the settings tab to further streamline your testing.

A few small events features (more coming!)
- Live preview your map location when creating events, allowing you to see how your address input will show up on the map when published.
- Event campaign list displays admin titles in addition to event names.
- Added new options to nearest event in event campaign clips for nearest number of events (e.g., you could output the nearest three instead of just one), and optionally limit results to only those in the same state as the activist.
Other small but mighty updates
- Enhancement to liquid error monitoring — click to locate the exact error (thank you Audrey at the DLCC for this one!).
- The network download includes a column to show custom field permissions per admin.
- Mobile preview by number in addition to email.
- Email notification for 1 hour stats, sign up in the settings tab.
- Optionally exclude recurrences from donation amount and times targeting filters, allowing you to only count one-time and first-time recurring donations to those totals when targeting (thank you MoveOn, our newest PDC member).
- Email IDs and API endpoints are now available on the email manage page (thank you MoveOn, our newest PDC member).
