Hello,

Today is Father's Day, so I wanted to take a moment to talk about one of the most important people in my life — my dad Arthur.

My dad is an exceptional tennis player, he's always up for a competitive board or card game, and his sweet tooth is legendary. And he's the best boss I ever had.

I started working with my dad at our family restaurant when I turned 14, and one of his first lessons was that you should never ask anyone to do something that you aren't willing to do yourself.

He taught me that running a business is not about the bottom line but about serving the larger community around you. No matter who walked through our doors, we welcomed each and every customer as if they were a guest at our own home.

His compassion and selflessness taught me what it means to lead a life of service — whether it was in the kitchen at the restaurant or in the halls of Congress.

I know Father's Day is especially difficult this year as many of us can’t spend today with our family. Whether you are celebrating today at home or on the phone, let's thank the wonderful fathers and father figures in our lives for all they do.

My best wishes to you and your family for a happy and healthy Father's Day,

Chris
