We needed you to see this first thing this morning, JOHN.
Yesterday, Rev. Dr. William J. Barber II and Rev. Jonathan Wilson-Hartgrove — both members of the Save America Movement’s steering committee — were arrested at the U.S. Capitol.
They were not alone.
They stood alongside more than two dozen religious leaders in full vestments. Catholics, Episcopalians, Methodists, Baptists, Jews, Muslims, and more, blocking traffic, praying, and carrying caskets marked with the number of Americans who would lose Medicaid and SNAP under the MAGA-backed budget bill currently being negotiated in Congress.
They were arrested for telling the truth.
For standing up for the poor. For refusing to let cruelty be passed off as policy. For daring to demand a moral budget that protects life, instead of gutting the programs that millions rely on to survive.
We are proud to stand with them. Now we’re asking you to do the same.

This fight is about more than budget numbers. It’s about values. It’s about whether this nation will continue to bow to billionaires and bullies, or finally lift up the poor, the sick, and the vulnerable.
This is what moral resistance looks like. This is what the Save America Movement is about.
Stand with those who were willing to be arrested for the soul of this country. Add your name now.
