Greetings fellow Teton County Democrats!
This past month has been quite eventful! From trainings for vote builder to protests on the town square, all while making noise about our public lands, this has been a great month!!!

A quick recap of the events of this past month, with a few pictures.
We had an incredible turnout for our Honor Federal Workers/No Kings Rally on June 14th. On Saturday, June 14th, there was a MASSIVE protest against Donald Trump-The No Kings Rally, held nationwide, included Teton County and Jackson, bringing Americans from all walks of life together-Veterans (special forces!!) from Dubois, independent voters, those who are just upset at everything going on by a president who styles himself a King! This was a resounding success, followed by a great picnic at Miller Park. Not only was this event successful in the amount of people who showed up, it shows how strong of a community we are and how connected we are.

Annual Picnic
On the same day, after a great protest that opened up everyone's appetite, we had a great picnic at Miller Park, with food, drinks and great conversation. We fundraised well, and will be having more events in the future. Thank you to all who came out, and especially to our Chair Annette, Vice Chair Orion, and Treasurer Maggie for helping make this event so successful.

Public Lands

On Tuesday June 24th, there was a smaller but extremely vibrant protest to protect our public lands. Not only are these our cherished jewels, they are not a commodity to be sold willy nilly, as some seem to believe.
While not organized by us, the public lands issue is not a partisan one, but truly an American one. So many of us here in Teton County, Wyoming at large, and all other Western states, use these public lands for various types of recreation, relaxation, and even as a place of business-often year round. Leaving out his political affiliation, Utah Senator Mike Lee's attempt at selling America's public lands is not only insulting, it is cruel. Idaho Senators said no, Montana said no. Even more insulting is the contempt our own Wyoming Senators Barrasso and Lummis, along with Congresswoman Hageman, have shown for this issue by not standing up to protect our public lands. While Senator Lee has been dealt a setback and is rewriting his bill, our public lands are not safe. We will have more on this as it happens.
Update-as of Saturday June 28th, the Public Lands Bill has been rescinded by none other than Senator Mike Lee himself! While a victory, it is not the end of the battle. Stay alert for any attacks on our public lands!
