Dear Friend of Liberty,
Did you know that the Trump administration froze over $2.2 billion in taxpayer funds for Harvard University?
Now Harvard thinks it has a CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT to your money. Clearly, the people who run it didn’t receive a Hillsdale College education.
If they had, they would know they have no right to your money. Your money shouldn’t go to antisemitic, anti-American, and anti-Western Civilization bureaucrats and activists.
And if they had taken our free online course, “Constitution 101: The Meaning and History of the Constitution,” they’d understand that a truly free society requires education to be independent of unaccountable administrative agencies.
As you may know, Hillsdale College doesn’t take a single cent of federal funds. Unlike Harvard, we know there are rules that come with federal money. And we prefer to make an honest living. And this makes us unique in American higher education. So many elite institutions—like Harvard—receive millions, if not billions, of your tax dollars.
By contrast, our supporters give to us because they want to.
We would rather stand by our principles than receive a taxpayer handout—no matter who is in the White House.
But this is only possible because we have friends like you. Thanks to you—and so many other informed patriots—we don’t receive federal or state student grants or loans. Nothing.
That’s why I hope you will consider renewing your support with a tax-deductible gift to our Annual Fund today to help Hillsdale College expand its outreach efforts on behalf of liberty.
You will help us expand the production of our free online courses, increase the readership of Imprimis, and launch increasing numbers of Hillsdale-affiliated classical K-12 schools nationwide.
Your generous support of our educational outreach programs will help us reach and teach millions of our fellow citizens.
There’s an important reason why Hillsdale refuses to accept one penny of government funding.
This allows the College to remain genuinely independent and focused on its mission, free from burdensome and corrupting federal regulations.
It’s a lesson Harvard University would do well to learn.
All of our work—including our educational outreach efforts on behalf of liberty—is entirely dependent on the support of citizens, like you, who understand the importance of education to liberty.
The upcoming academic year will be critical, and the Left will pull out all the stops to keep its stranglehold on our schools.
It will take significant resources to promote our online courses—such as our recent course, “The Federalist”—while also expanding Hillsdale’s other educational outreach efforts.
I’m asking you to make a tax-deductible fiscal year-end gift to our Annual Fund by June 30. Many of our most faithful supporters give gifts of $25 or $50, while others give gifts of $100, $500, or even more.
What’s most important is that you give what you can. I’ve included a secure, convenient link for you here: https://secured.hillsdale.edu/hillsdale/fiscal-year-end-fye-2025 Thank you again for your partnership in our shared mission to revive and preserve liberty and the American way of life.
Warm regards,
