John,

This past Sunday, Chris went on Fox News to speak directly to the American people about the situation in Iran. He called on President Trump to come to Congress with a complete picture of our intelligence on the situation with Iran and the plan on what comes next for our country and for Iran.

At 2:30 in the morning, President Trump responded the only way he knows how — by posting a wild tirade online:

"Tell phony Democrat Senator Chris Coons that I am not offering Iran ANYTHING, unlike Obama, who paid them $Billions under the stupid road to a Nuclear Weapon JCPOA (which would now be expired!), nor am I even talking to them since we totally OBLITERATED their Nuclear Facilities."

We’ll let you decide what’s more unhinged: the all-caps, the lies, or the idea that informing the public makes someone “phony.” Chris didn’t go on Fox News to win praise — least of all from President Trump. He went because he believes the American people deserve the truth.

That’s what it means to serve in the Senate with integrity. That’s what it means to be a public servant, not a showman.

If that makes Chris “phony,” then he’ll be phony every single day — while holding this administration accountable, telling the truth, and doing the hard work our democracy demands. If you're with him, chip in now to help us keep up this fight >> [link removed]
