Happy Father’s Day to all the father figures out there who go the extra mile for the people they love.
Growing up, my dad taught us to always do unto others and to find the joy in the little things. He instilled in us the value of public service and giving back and in using our voices and taking action when we see the opportunity to make a difference -- particularly for the next generation.
These are the same values that first drew me to my wonderful husband Mark, the best partner I could ever wish for. Together, we have passed these values on to our own kids -- as the world is always made a little better when we are kinder and more supportive of one another.
