Email from Organization Name For better or worse, the amount of money raised by my campaign will be used as a measuring stick for how viable it is for me to win. John, You may be receiving fundraising emails from a lot of my fellow Democrats today and might be wondering what is going on. Today is the end of the fundraising quarter for candidates running for federal office, and it's a massive deal. Here are some reasons why candidates like me are asking for you to make a donation of $5, or whatever makes sense for you, ahead of our June 30th deadline. What happens after the June 30th end of quarter deadline? Our campaign reports how much money we’ve raised since the start of our campaign and it is made public for everyone to see. Why do these numbers matter? For better or worse, the amount of money raised by my campaign will be used as a measuring stick for how viable it is for me to win. The media will fixate on the top fundraisers in this race and outside groups looking to endorse either myself or my opponent are closely watching to see how much resources and momentum I have. Why does my $5 or $50 matter? I don’t take money from corporations or special interest groups who have bought our Congress. My campaign is completely funded by grassroots supporters like you. I can’t win this race alone. I’d be so thankful to have your support ahead of our major fundraising reporting deadline.
