Friend --
We hope you can join us today for Sunday Brunch with Higher
Heights presented by #TheSipHour at 2:00 p.m. ET on Facebook Live and
Youtube. Today we will hear from Black fathers for our special
Father's Day edition of The Sip.
The protests against police
brutality and racial injustice sparked by the death of Ahmaud
Arbery, Breonna Taylor, Geroge Floyd and now Rayshard
Brooks have renewed the fears of many Black fathers when it
relates to their sons (and daughters) coming in contact with
police.
There will be family celebrations, as always, but there will also
be serious conversations taking place this Father’s Day.
Our special guests today include:
- DaMareo Cooper, Field Director, BlackPAC
- Will Jawando, Councilmember At-Large, Montgomery
County, Maryland
- Desmond Meade, President Florida Rights Restoration
Coalition
- Maurice Mitchell, National Director, Working Families
Party
Join us today at 2:00 p.m. ET for this important
conversation.

Also, ICYMI: on Friday's episode of #TheSipHour, we discussed all
things Juneteenth. Our guests included: Mary Elliott, Curator,
National Museum of African American History & Culture, and Kim
Brazwell, Assistant Director, The Freedom BLOC.

Don't’ forget, #TheSip gathers
each week for a Power Lunch on Wednesdays, Happy Hour on Fridays and
Sunday Brunch with Higher Heights connecting Black women to
thought-leaders and innovators across sectors from government,
non-profit and corporate to entertainment, culture and
lifestyle.
We look forward to seeing you at
brunch at 2 pm ET.
Onward,
Glynda
