What an incredible weekend for Frederick! Our community turned out in force for our first ever Pride Parade. I was thrilled to see so many members, advocates, and allies of our LGBTQIA+ community come together to celebrate love and inclusivity.

I proclaimed June as Pride Month in Frederick County, honoring the resilience of the LGBTQIA+ community and the hard-won victories to advance acceptance and equality. Pride is about ensuring everyone can thrive and serves as an important reminder to stay engaged, speak up, and advocate for one another.

Congratulations to the Frederick Center and everyone whose work made this weekend's events possible. The love, energy, joy, and beauty was... everything.
