With 24 hours until the updated deadline of June 22, 2020, this is our last very stand to defend pre-born babies at the United Nations. And, with the information that we received that our petition is making a difference in the negotiations, I am confident that your response will help put us over the top.

When members of the United Nations’ Commission on Populations and Development (CPD) started holding secret meetings, on May 29, 2020 -- to negotiate how to use international aid funding towards their response to the COVID-19 pandemic -- CitizenGOers jumped into action by collecting over 400,000 signatures.

We are making it clear to UN’s CPD Bureau Chairs that it’s unacceptable to use the COVID-19 pandemic as a front to force the use of international aid funding for abortion.

Right now, we need your help to get the word out about this petition in less than 24 hours before members of CPD make their final decision on June 22:

The United Nations is rushing members of its Commission on Populations and Development into session to decide how to use international aid funding in their response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Urgent, abortion is one of the top priorities.

The deadline for this action alert of May 29.

Sign now to demand the United Nations CPD stop using the COVID-19 outbreak to fund abortion worldwide.

SIGN THE PETITION

Dear John,

Your response is urgent. We’re counting on you to help us defeat the pro-abortion lobby’s agenda at one of the most significant international stages.

The United Nations is quickly convening the members of its Commission on Populations and Development (CPD) on Friday, May 29, 2020. This session was initially scheduled for March 30 - April 3 but was postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Now they are asking members to urgently attend a cyber meeting where they will negotiate how to use international aid funding towards their response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Sadly, international aid funding for abortion is one of the top priorities.

No abortion! Sign our petition to the Bureau Chairs of the United Nations CPD to demand they stop using the COVID-19 crisis to push abortion.

This action alert has a deadline of May 29. Because we are running short on time, we will deliver your signature directly inbox of the Bureau Chairs of CPD. They work with the representatives of each country to develop the negotiated document.

If approved in its current form, international aid funding meant to assist with the COVID-19 pandemic will be directed…

  • Abortion
  • Demand countries to implement a strategy to provide or increase access to abortion.
  • Free condoms and birth control
  • Sex education to children

We need your help to send a clear message at the international level. There is no international right to abortion.

Add your name: No abortion at the United Nations CPD.

The document that will be negotiated on May 29 is titled “Draft declaration on population, food security, nutrition and sustainable development in the context of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).”

Food security and nutrition are vital needs all over the world. By reading the title, one would think the United Nations is trying to use international aid funding for important needs.

However, it reads, “We, the representatives of Governments, on occasion of the fifty-third session of the Commission on Population and Development, at the time of an unprecedented crisis caused by the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic... (15) Commit to ensure, by 2030, universal access to sexual and reproductive health-care services, including for family planning, information and education, and the integration of reproductive health into national strategies and programmes, and ensure universal access to sexual and reproductive health and reproductive rights as agreed in accordance with the” Programme of Action of the International Conference on Population and Development and the Beijing Platform for Action and the outcome documents of their review conferences.

They are hiding abortion access in a document that should be advocating for some of the most vital needs.

Sign now to help us demand to the United Nations NO ABORTION. Respond before May 29th. Because we are running short on time, we will deliver your signature directly inbox of the Bureau Chairs of CPD.

Thank you,

Ignacio Arsuaga and the entire CitizenGO Team
