Hi John,
We hope you’re finding time to soak up the start of summer. This month, as we celebrate Pride, we’re reminded that building political power for moms means building a more inclusive democracy for everyone.
If you haven’t had a chance to support our work this month, there’s still time —every donation helps us break down barriers so more moms can lead and legislate.
Here’s a quick update on everything you need to know:
|
Campaign Funds for Childcare Update:
North Dakota just became the 40th state to authorize Campaign Funds for Childcare (CFCC) after a decision from the North Dakota Ethics Commission. Following this major milestone, CFCC is now authorized in 40 states, breaking barriers for candidates in 80 percent of the country. Vote Mama Foundation research shows the majority of candidates who use this resource are women, and the majority of funds spent by women are spent by women of color.

Research Update:
Vote Mama Foundation is looking ahead to the next big release in our Politics of Parenthood research series – a look at representation in the 119th Congress. This data will offer a fresh look at how many moms are serving in Congress, who they are, and the barriers they continue to face. As the only organization tracking this information, we’re excited to share findings that will deepen the national conversation around representation, power, and what it means to govern as a parent in America.

On our radar:
Our work is only possible because of friends like you. Your support helps us eliminate barriers and build a more inclusive democracy for parents and caregivers. Join our movement by making a gift today. We’re so grateful to have you by our side!
