Folks,

In 2018, we accomplished something that many thought was impossible in Wisconsin: We defeated Scott Walker and voters elected me, a former school teacher, as Governor of Wisconsin.

While a lot of work by a lot of different people and organizations went into that win, I believe it would not have been possible without the support of the NDRC.

The NDRC's focus on ending Republican gerrymandering is helping to level the playing field and make victories like ours possible. In Wisconsin and other states across the nation there is still a long way to go before we achieve elections that are completely fair.

That is why I am asking for your help to support my friends at the NDRC. Will you make a contribution to help the NDRC keep up their critically important work?

Republicans won 46% of the vote but 64% of the seats. Our work is far from finished.

In Wisconsin, the Republicans' manipulated maps (which Governor Walker signed in 2011), mean that Democrats still have a minority in Wisconsin's state legislature and in our congressional delegation, despite receiving more votes.

This is wrong -- and it has very real consequences as Republicans are able to stymie progress on a host of issues like gun violence and climate change.

But we can end the GOP's efforts to gerrymander election wins -- and we must. Wisconsin is a NDRC target state in 2020, and I'm certain that with your help, we will elect Democrats who will ensure a fair redistricting process in 2021.

It won't be easy -- but the most important things never are. Will you make a donation today to help the NDRC end map manipulation in states like Wisconsin?
