As we speak, the U.S. Senate is reviewing and voting on Donald Trump’s budget bill, which would cut more than $1 TRILLION from Medicaid, Medicare, and other critical public health programs. The vote-a-rama could last into the night.
If Trump gets his way, the “Big Beautiful Bill” will be passed by the Senate in the next 24 hours, then move to the House for a final vote, before making its way to the President’s desk by this Friday, July 4th.
Time is running out to convince Senate Republicans to do the right thing and oppose massive cuts to our health care — but there’s still hope.
Over the weekend, Senators removed a portion of the bill that would sell off our public lands after widespread public outcry. It’s still possible for us to pressure them to do the same with these cruel cuts to our care.
