If your inbox looks anything like mine, I’m sure you find the arrival of this email less than thrilling, so I’ll try to keep this as brief as possible:

Our FEC fundraising deadline is just 10 hours away, and even though we’ve seen a noticeable bump in support over the last week, we’re still falling just over $1,000 behind on our goal.

With our fundraising numbers about to go public, we can’t give National Republicans a reason to spend even more money here in KS-03. So please, can you rush a donation before midnight to help us close the gap and reach our goal before it’s too late?

If you need more convincing, or you maybe think that tonight’s FEC deadline is a gimmick, let me explain why it is genuinely important we close out this quarter strong.

First of all, National Republicans will have the opportunity to scrutinize our numbers for any signs of weakness. If we fall short of our goal, Mike Johnson and his ultra-wealthy backers will fight even harder to drown out our message and replace me with a rubber stamp for Trump’s agenda.

Second, we’re going to make important campaign decisions based on the success of this deadline. If we fall short of our goal, that would mean fewer resources in the long run to run ads and turn out voters during next year’s midterms.

And finally, I want to prove to National Republicans that billionaires don’t win elections — teams do. In four consecutive elections, far-right super PACs have dumped huge sums of dark money to take me down. But each and every time, this team has had my back. Through donations of $5 here and $25 there, we’ve built a movement that has defeated some of the most powerful politicians in the country.

Now, I’m asking for your help to do it again.
