We just wrapped up our Summer Youth Academy, a two-week immersive
Hi Friend,
We just wrapped up our Summer Youth Academy, a two-week immersive experience where high school seniors from all over San Diego got to learn firsthand about government and how to advocate for solutions to community issues!
This is how Supervisor Monica Montgomery Steppe leads.
She listens, and then she acts.
Your engagement, feedback, and trust are the foundation of her approach to governing.
This year alone, we've hosted multiple Dumpster Days, multiple Homelessness Resource Fairs, and a storm recovery event to foster collective healing, and we couldn't have done any of it without you.
By participating in community meetings, writing thoughtful emails and public comments, and doing the hard work in our neighborhoods every day, you helped shape these efforts and the people-first policies Monica fights for on the Board.
Born and raised in San Diego, Monica Montgomery Steppe is an HBCU graduate, and an attorney by trade. Monica believes in her heart that neighborhoods and community members are vibrant and worthy of care and investment. To learn more about Monica and the work she's doing for District Four, click here.
