Dear John,
When I consider everything our supporters make possible at Prison Fellowship—the restoration we long to see across the country—I think of places like Nebraska. It’s truly a picture of the holistic ministry we want to bring to every state.

Decades before my time here, Prison Fellowship was forming relationships with the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services. Known for its entrepreneurial spirit, Nebraska became the very first state to introduce a streamlined model of the

Prison Fellowship Academy. Nebraska proved this model could be efficient and scalable in other locations. Today, this model is changing lives with 40 cohorts nationwide and counting!
Our first Academy manager in Nebraska, Mike Kenney, had a long history of interacting with the department of corrections as their former director. He brought robust collaboration and built trust with the DOC. We’ve seen 36 corrections officials go through

Then Nebraska welcomed their first women’s Academy, where a

program participant named Mona described her transformation.
I truly believe that God performed a miracle. He turned me into the woman I am intended to be.—Mona
At that facility, incarcerated mothers like Mona signed up for Prison Fellowship Angel Tree with such enthusiasm that their location has one of the highest participation rates in the country. Generous partners help make Angel Tree possible in rural areas that need additional support. (If you haven’t registered to be an Angel Tree church yet, there’s still time. You can

register your church today.)
Over the years, our generous donors have continued to give their resources to support life-changing ministry across the state. A local church even raised funds to renovate the space for a Prison Fellowship program in their local prison! This is what can happen when we come together to join in what God is doing.
I believe Nebraska’s story can be the story of every state, including yours, if only we will rise to the challenge together.
We can’t do this Kingdom work without
