John,
We're just closing our premier digital event, National Pride Inside. I hope you were able to hear from all the amazing candidates, elected officials and special guests that helped us celebrate! If not, you can watch the video here. [[link removed]]
As many of us mentioned on the call, 2020 has already been a year unlike any other. We are experiencing national uprisings as Americans protest the devastating effects of systemic racism. The COVID-19 pandemic has altered our society, ending lives and livelihoods.
But despite the pandemic, LGBTQ people are stepping up to run in greater numbers than ever before. This year, Victory Fund will endorse over 300 LGBTQ candidates, running at all levels of government. These diverse leaders are the ones who can successfully tackle the numerous issues we face. Our LGBTQ leaders must win on Election Day - and we need your help to keep going. Donate today. 2020 will be one of the most consequential elections of our lifetime. Our candidates will play a huge roll in key swing states and will determine party control of legislatures in Florida, Iowa, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas and Wisconsin. But like many organizations, we faced budget setbacks because of the COVID-19 pandemic. With so much on the line, we can't afford to miss a step.
The contributions we receive today will literally make the difference between a historic moment and defeat. Donate today. [[link removed]]
Thanks again for tuning in. Have a wonderful Pride Month.

LGBTQ Victory Fund has helped thousands of openly LGBTQ candidates win elections up and down the ballot, from sea to shining sea since our founding in 1991. We believe representation is power so we elected U.S. Senators Tammy Baldwin and Kyrsten Sinema, Governors Jared Polis and Kate Brown, all seven LGBTQ members of U.S. Congress and countless candidates for state and local government, including Virginia Delegate Danica Roem, Colorado state Representative Leslie Herod and Pennsylvania Assemblymember Brian Sims. And with an unprecedented number of LGBTQ people running for office in this year, we’ll need your support to make 2020 the next Rainbow Wave.
