Due to crucial protections granted under the Endangered Species Act, the populations of gray wolves and grizzly bears have slowly started to recover from historic killing campaigns that brought them to the brink of extinction. But if the anti-wildlife factions of Congress get their way, these iconic species could have their protections stripped away, jeopardizing their already-fragile recovery.
