Hi there,

ASPIRE’s mission to elect a diverse Congress that reflects the people of this country grows more pressing by the day. America is facing threats to public health, to affordable and accessible health care, and to vulnerable reproductive rights -- all threats ushered in by a Congress of white conservatives, and all these threats are converging at the same time.

That’s exactly why now is the time for a doctor of color to head to Washington -- and no one is more qualified to represent Texas’ 10th District than Dr. Pritesh Gandhi.

A primary care physician, Dr. Gandhi has been on the frontlines of fighting COVID-19, treating underserved patients in his clinic. He is uniquely positioned to stand up for health as a fundamental human right, which is exactly what he’s done. Dr. Gandhi has called for an expansion of Medicaid as part of pushing toward universal health coverage, and he will fight against price gouging and shady billing on the part of big drug and insurance companies.

When it comes to protecting America from the next outbreak, Dr. Gandhi has said that we must “invest in health the way we invest in the military.” That means increasing hospital capacity, increasing funding for STEM education, and increasing global cooperation in the international fight against disease -- because in an interconnected world, we’re only as healthy as our neighbors.

And finally, regrettably, Dr. Gandhi has had a front-row seat for the war against reproductive rights being waged in Texas. That’s why he’s committed to unequivocally supporting both the right to choose and safe access to abortion care. He’ll help restore funding to the community health centers that can no longer serve women and families as well as they once could, and he will fight to address the systemic inequities that inform our country’s conversations about contraception.

Dr. Gandhi isn’t taking a dime of corporate PAC money. But Michael McCaul, the Republican who currently holds the seat, is -- and as the fifth-richest member of Congress. We know McCaul will spend everything he can to hold on to his position and keep rubber-stamping Trump’s agenda.

It’s time for Dr. Gandhi to make a House call. But he can’t get there without your help.

Right now, we’re $1,250 short of where we need to be to help Dr. Gandhi expand his digital outreach program and reach the voters he needs to win this seat. With his runoff approaching on July 14, he’s relying on grassroots donors to help him seize the nomination, flip this seat, and expand the House majority.

If you’re ready to protect the Democratic House majority and you’re able to contribute, here’s the link: [link removed]

We can’t thank you enough.
