Hi, John!
The power of the people is greater than the people in power. June has found a way to remind us what that power looks like: through peaceful protests, in organizations stepping up for undocumented families, in the unapologetic joy of Pride, and at Juneteenth celebrations across the country.
Right now, immigration raids and military presence are turning neighborhoods into battlegrounds. Families are living with the constant fear of separation, and communities are being pushed to the edge. But we are choosing power rooted in the people and community.
Every gathering, every march, every action is a reminder that we are not powerless — even when our freedoms are under threat. No one moment will fix what’s broken. But together, our voices, our votes, and our solidarity are the tools we carry. Let’s continue to use them.
Now, let’s take a look at some of the things that brought me joy throughout June:
✅ The BET awards getting it right!
✅ When We All Vote taking it to the streets in DC during World Pride! 🌈
✅ I've been deep in Love Island lately — and honestly, the memes and reaction videos are just as good as the show.
