I’ll get right into it: Our first end-of-quarter deadline since Maryland’s fundraising freeze lifted is tomorrow night, and we’re going into it with a huge disadvantage.
Maryland law requires us to stop fundraising when the state legislature is in session, which means we can only fundraise for 75% of the year.
Potential opponents — including Republicans who have already jumped in the race — may not have the same constraints. With just hours left to go, we need to close the gap as soon as we can.
Our vision for Maryland — investing in schools, granting well-deserved second chances, and building an economy that leaves no one behind — relies on a movement to make it a reality.
