Republicans in Washington are once again pushing a budget that would slash Medicaid — and if they succeed, the consequences will be felt right here in California.

Medi-Cal, our state’s Medicaid program, helps over 15 million Californians access the care they need. Cuts at the federal level would mean fewer providers, longer wait times, and real harm for working families, seniors, and children.

This is personal for me. As a doctor, I’ve treated patients who depend on Medi-Cal — and I know the difference this program makes in people’s lives. That’s why this FEC deadline is so critical. We’re still $4,962 short of our goal, and our numbers will show whether we’re ready to take on this fight and win.
