I recently reviewed the first mandated report on COVID-19 provided by the federal Department of Health and Human Services to Congress. We are months into this pandemic; yet the report lacked basic demographic data to understand what’s happening and what’s needed in our communities of color — the communities most ravaged by COVID-19.
The system isn’t going to change itself, which is why we need to elect more progressive champions to Congress. We need Gina in Congress fighting alongside us.
