Friends,

June’s primaries gave us a preview of November’s general election. Unfortunately, the glimpse we saw is that -- unless we take drastic measures -- voices of color will be shut out in 2020.

Georgia’s election wasn’t the only one that saw voters of color disproportionately waiting in long lines, being given the wrong ballots, facing technical errors, and having their polling places changed at the last minute.

And CNN reports that, unsurprisingly, “last minute location changes and problems with polling machines appearing to affect minority communities the most.” That’s exactly what Republicans are counting on -- that their refusal to adequately prepare for a historic election will suppress votes from Americans of color and hand Trump a win by default.

If we want a landslide victory against Trump and his allies in November, we need to prepare for it now -- and ensure everyone can practice their right to vote. That’s why we need support from voters like you, tell us:

Should Congress act now to protect voters of color?

YES   NO
