We’re down to the wire on our first major fundraising deadline of this year – and less than 12 months out from our primary.

Throughout my career in public service, I’ve made it my mission to make California work for working families. That meant taking on the biggest companies and most powerful lobbyists seeking to skirt their responsibilities -- and still delivering real benefits for our families, friends, and neighbors:

⇒ I uncovered $7.3 billion in mismanaged spending by state and local governments and redirecting it toward real progress.

⇒ I ensured California did no external borrowing to pay the state’s bills.

⇒ I took on life insurance companies, forcing them to pay death benefits to surviving families rather than keeping insurance proceeds to pad their bottom line.

⇒ And I preserved the retirement security of 3 million Californians, including 1 million teachers, by keeping pension funds stable while still protecting taxpayers.
