The Supreme Court’s far-right majority just dealt a major blow to judicial power – stripping lower courts of the ability to issue nationwide injunctions, even against clearly unlawful government actions. It’s a win for authoritarianism, and a warning sign for anyone who believes in checks and balances.

The Supreme Court just made Donald Trump more dangerous. By stripping federal judges of the power to block unlawful government policies nationwide, the Court has made it easier for Trump to carry out his most extreme and unconstitutional actions without immediate consequence. That includes efforts to end birthright citizenship, retaliate against political opponents, and push through policies that violate basic rights.
This isn’t an isolated decision. It’s part of a broader campaign by Trump and his cronies to dismantle every system that checks their power – and the far-right majority on the Court is helping clear the way. If we don’t respond now, we risk letting authoritarianism tighten its grip while the judges who would protect us are hobbled.
We’re still $17,382 short of our monthly goal, and this moment demands a bold response. Your support helps People For organize resistance, hold Trump and his enablers accountable, and protect the rule of law from the damage this regime is doing day by day.

The Supreme Court’s far-right majority just upheld Tennessee’s ban on gender-affirming care for trans youth – claiming it doesn’t count as discrimination. The dissenters called it what it is: a dangerous distortion of civil rights law that gives states a green light to target trans kids and their families.

From coast to coast, Americans rallied under one bold, unifying message: No Kings. In response to rising authoritarianism, military parades, and political violence, peaceful crowds gathered to affirm a simple truth – our leaders answer to the Constitution, not the other way around. The threat is real, but so is the resistance.

Democrats are losing male voters – not because of policy, but because of tone. In this pointed and personal op-ed, People For president Svante Myrick says it’s time to ditch the judgment and embrace respect, empathy, and harm reduction. Want to win back men? Stop scolding, start listening.
As we face a growing wave of authoritarianism and anti-democratic forces, it has never been more critical to secure the future of our democracy and the progressive values that are under attack by right-wing extremists. One way to join this cause is through estate planning to protect the people and things you love, safeguard your assets, and secure a brighter future for our country.
Despite the value of planning, the process is often inaccessible, overwhelming, and expensive — especially to historically disenfranchised communities. That's why we are excited that our partnership with FreeWill offers our supporters an opportunity to create their wills, and plan their estates at NO cost to you.
