PIRG supporters have sent hundreds of thousands of messages to state decision makers, driving a movement that has resulted in restrictions on wasteful single-use plastic in cities and states across the country.[2]

And we're getting companies to do their part, too.

Your support helps our team do the research and advocacy work that makes a real difference. For example, you made it possible for PIRG researchers to track discarded Amazon packaging from recycling drop-off boxes to its final destinations. They discovered that almost none of it was actually being recycled.[3]

We shared our findings with the world and rallied thousands of our supporters to send messages to Amazon -- and the company listened. Now, Amazon has eliminated wasteful plastic air pillows from its U.S. deliveries.[4]
